2009 steering wheel

Does anyone know if you can buy/fit the 2009 flattened off steering wheel in the 2006 SLK55?

I don't see why not. The steering column seems the same, and buying a steering wheel shouldn't be a problem. It's not as if it's illegal. Ask your dealer.

I love this wheel as well, it WILL fit into pre-facelift 55 models, plug and play, no problem.

Part numbers are A1714607003 for the wheel and A1718601102 for the airbag (unique to this wheel). Unfortunately, prices from the dealership are astronomical, $3,000-$4,000. I'm not having much luck finding one at a sane price, $2,000 would be about the max I could stomach for a steering wheel. I saw a complete wheel go on ebay.de for around 1,000 Euro last month, but seller would not ship outside Europe.
