I wish I had a SLK55......
I'd buy that kit in a heartbeat. Considering it's not a one-off and there are plans to sell it, albeit in limited quantities, that sounds good for the SLK R171 peeps.
I remember seeing it in person for the first time at Socaleuro and at first I thought it really was an SL65 Black Series. Then I saw that it was an R171 and said wow, cool!

Yeah, one mean looking SOB. Do a search, there are some posts from him during the development of the kit.

Definitely a nice looking kit - the car looks great from every angle - dare I say it; better than the SL 65 Black. I contacted Edward a few weeks ago as to the price. I don't want to say the price here because he has not published it yet, but it was a bit pricey (definitely worth it; it took a lot of time and attention to build this kit right). But when you add on another $4k+ for custom install and paint, then another $5k+ for custom 3-piece wheels (probably 10" fronts and 12" rears) and tires, you are looking at a substantial sum of $$. Tough to pull the trigger on a $42k to $45k base priced used car. Then again it would be the hottest car in the city. Definitely fitting for a post Kleeman supercharged car.

I'm not liking it at all - looks overdone IMO.
Different strokes/different folks I guess.

I love the kit but not the paint. I think it would look awesome in black
Plus you can't argue with its functionality, SLK55 would really benefit from much wider tires.
