Enjoy your SLK!

I just took drove home a new leftover 08 last night (got a great deal) and redlined it 3 times on the way home! I never own cars past their warranty period so proper breakin and all that stuff not really important to me.

Good stuff, AMS! Yes, the 20 degree change in temperature I experienced was a problem. Not to mention the drastic change in humidity from my pre- and post-run tests as well...

if i decided to remove the secondaries completely rather than replace with high flows, would that yield more HP? and a stronger exhaust note?

Yes, you do make a bit more power, but it will also be raspier as well, it won't sound as "clean" as with high flow secondaries. Plus, there is the legality factor of deleting any emissions components, it is illegal and you can be fined or get ticketed, where as with high flow secondary cats you don't have to worry about that, its completely legal.

Just something to consider, hope that helps.

Knocked off a 15 hour work day yesterday on an M&A deal. Left Beverly Hills office around 10 pm and pulled up to a light on Wilshire Blvd. I heard a honk, looked over, and it was friend I haven't spoken to in months. He mentioned he heard the SLK 55 exhaust from two blocks away and right away knew it was me. He said it is the most distinctive V8 sound in LA.

Coming up on a year since install and I still get excited driving the car. No issues with fit or finish. And the sound is still incredible.
