Hey, Yes I am interested. I have a 2005 slk55. Can you give me a little more information about the item. How easy is it too install? How will it affect my radio reception? Also will able to return my car back from a lease with that piece on it??

what's the FM reception and remote key distance like? Your navi uses a GPS antenna behind the rear view mirror, so I can believe it works fine. Not saying the part is not worth $40, just that it's not designed for the radio amp in the SLK, so you lose range on AM, FM, and the key fob.
You can modify it to partially solve these problems, just like a R170 antenna.

I just find losing the range on AM, the FM and the Key fob is working good on my car!!! Is it just because mine is a 07?

Well, I am interested in getting a new antenna as the slk has a light pole for an antenna. I just want the small styled one that is on the sl model without causing trouble with radio (FM/AM) as I do listen frequently. Thanks

jbiz - it's much easier to retrofit a R170 antenna to a R171 and not lose AM/FM or keyfob range.
Pop over to SLKWorld.com - there's a great tutorial on the mod - Again $40us is a good deal on an unmodified SL antenna.
