In 1 month I'll send my SLK55 to Evosport for the following mods:
PTE 55K Cams and Titanium Retainers
Evosport Custom Long Tube Headers, Race Cats, X-Pipe (First ever Evosport 55 N/A Long Tubes!)
Modify Intake Manifold for 82mm Throttle Body
Dyno Tune
Quaife LSD
Evosport will see if it is possible to modify the stock intake manifold to accept a larger throttle body. If they can't modify the stock intake manifold then I will push for them to build me a new higher flowing intake that will accept a MB 82mm throttle body.
This is the only way to get more air into the 55 N/A as the CF Renntech Air-Box is just not enough.
Let's see if I can get an extra 100 HP while keeping it N/A!

While you have the valve covers off for cams, you might get a quote to have the heads ported/polished gasket matched to the headers.
I have a set of P/P heads on my 55klee car..... and am very curious to see what a ported/polished nat aspirated combo puts down.

Porting and Polishing of the heads requires more than just the removal of the valve covers, it requires the removal of the heads which is something I don't want to do for this build. Aside from the cam swap, I want to keep the heads stock and not go into the engine. My goal here is to see what power we can get from big intake and exhaust mods.

Update
The PTE 55K cams and Titanium retainers were installed and made 5hp and 10wtq without a re-tune, cams only.
Evosport started fabrication of the custom long tube headers, race cats, and X-pipe and should be completed in a couple weeks. Stay posted!

Here's a video I recorded a few months ago of the exhaust after the installation of PTE cams with no tune. The only other mod is resonator delete replaced with Supersprint's X-pipe.
Sorry for such a crapy video, but you can get an idea of what the lopy idle sounds like.
I instantly noticed it revs more freely, but because it was not tuned I was advised not to drive it hard so I really couldn't test it out. It will be a lot louder once Evosport is finished with the custom long tube headers, race cats, and X-pipe, which should help make the cams sound come through.
Simon is also looking into a larger throttle body, but this is a challenge since I want to retain that stock look, to include my stock airbox.
Everything should be wrapped up and completed within 5 weeks!

Evosport finished my longtube headers and full exhaust system which consist of modified race cats, X-pipe, and resonators. We kept the stock mufflers in place. There is no drone with this system which was a concern of mine. It sounds amazing with a great deep rumble at WOT!
We gained +48hp and +40tq. The final power is exactly 400. Great gains!
I will leave it up to Evosport to post pics and description of thier longtube headers and full exhaust system. Thanks to Simon and everyone at Evosport for a job well done!

Nices gains and sounds sooo exotic. Wicked.
Not sure the TB will gain much as it "may" not be a choke point at this HP level. some guys tried the larger TB on the c32 with many bolt-ons and saw no gains with the larger TB.... suggesting at that HP level the TB was not the choke point. Plus we've found with some other brands the larger TB made a lazy bottom end.... (from some domestics experience).
Cool build.
Do you think high 11's with slicks is in order?

I'm satisfied with the gains we got and I love the way it sounds. It's loud enough with no drone which makes it perfect for my girl. She likes the added performance and sound.
Yeah, I agree and not sure about the gains with a larger TB, but I decided to focus more on getting my SL55 completed so for now I'm calling this build successful and completed.
High 11's I'm not sure but low 12"s for sure. There's only one way to find out and would love to get my girl in on some track days!

Lookin good man! I saw your thread on the private lounge as well..
One quick question though, what made you decide to stay with n/a set up? I'm sure all those mods you've done will cost close to an s/c kit...?

That's a great question and there's a few reasons why:
-Sound was a huge factor. I rather the combo of cams/headers than just S/C.
-I wanted to keep it N/A so it can take lots of abuse and not have to worry about heat soak and/or detonation associated with boost since it has high compression.
-I already have a 55K in my SL55.
