KLEEMANN SLK55 header special
I'm very pleased to announce that our headers for the SLK55 (M113 engine) are back in stock, and available for immediate shipping. We will be honoring last years special price of $995.00 for MBWorld members, so just shoot me an email if you'd like to order a set, or if you have any questions. cory@kleemannusa.com

Is an ECU tune needed with this?

YOUR SUPER CHARGER
I HAD A KLEEMAN SC PUT ON ABOUT 6000 MILES AGO. MY SERVICE PERSON (ROBERT FRUGE) AT MB IN SUGARLAND TX NOW SAYS I MIGHT HAVE LOTS OF DAMAGE - COULD BE CYL DAMAGE, VALVES, RINGS, ???? AT LEAST ONE CYL HAS COMPRESSION LOSS.
COULD YOU CALL OR EMAIL MR FRUGE (WHO IS AN EXCELLENT SERVICE PROVIDER) AT rfruge@mbssugarland.com or 281-207-1539 IF YOU HAVE ANY HELPFUL THOUGHTS? THANK YOU.

How many miles were on the car when you put it on? What tune was used? Was there any compression testing done prior to installation?
I'm thinking about getting a kleemann sc on my slk55 and would like to know about the experience.

Bruce, who installed the blower?
I would ca Cory at kleemann in Colorado direct to see where to go with this.
I have a kleemann supercharged Benz in sugar land too. Let me know if I can help.

I sent cory an email
Thanks for your thoughts. Unclear IF the SCharger caused the problem, which has yet to be diagnosed. Motorwerks - Sunil Patel installed it.

S/C
I too had Motorwerks install my kleemann s/c (the 1st time) with very bad results. I won't go into details here. PM me or email for more details.
I ended up trucking my car to Kleemann HQ in Colorado where Cory fixed my car. It needed to have the installation totall torn down, and everything fixed, somethings repaired, and tuned properly to work.
I would strongly consider this solution.
Good luck, and let me know if I can help.
Good to see another kleeman s/c amg in our part of town.

ECU H.P. increase
Has anyone had an ECU remap done on their SLK55, and what was the H.P. increase. Also has anyone had Kleeman headers installed, and again what were the gains? I'm interested in the individual gains.

With both the ECU & Kleemann headers, I saw about 40whp (Mustang dyno). There are many more SLK owners on slkworld.com than here.

I had the Kleemann long tube headers and SpeeDriven ECU tune performed, and got the car back two days ago. I don't know what the actual increase in H.P. and torque is, but I can tell you there's a significant difference in power. The sound level in driving normal is just about unnoticeable, but when I get on it, WOW!

Agreed...the sound is something I love as well. Subtle at the stoplight but brutal when you hammer it. Congrats on your mods. If you haven't tried it yet, check out the Sprintbooster. No performance gain, but makes the gas pedal much more fun!
