I'm trying to find out if anyone in the northeast would be interested or knows someone who would be interested in donating their R172 SLK55 for 3-4 weeks for development of long tube headers and exhaust. For your time you'll get to keep the headers and exhaust that are developed free of charge. PM me if interested.

A car has been found. Header development will begin shortly. I'll post results from dynos and dragstrip once I get my set installed.

Great news, I'm interested in seeing the results. Though it does not appear I will still own the SLK55 for much longer.

I like the SLK but it doesn't get me truly excited. I'm looking for a C63 Black Series with the aero package in silver or gray at the moment.

Have you considered the new gt3? I'm looking at one of those if I don't want to get another slk if this one gets lemoned. Would put a damper on my header plans after all this waiting though.
