Looking for the ultimate SLK55 r171
I'm in the process of selling a few cars, and once they sell I would like to pick up a SLK55. I don't like the newest body style, so 2009-2011 will be the way to go for me.
In my previous vehicles, I would find every conceivable option and add it, so for this SLK, I want to buy one as fully loaded as possible from the beginning.
I've seen so far the Magic Sky Control and the Night Vision display which I'll of course want. Is there a list somewhere of all the available options that owners could have chose from when ordering the cars new?
Also, my father has a friend who imports and exports cars from Europe. I really like the idea of picking up a factory right hand drive SLK55. Would anyone here be able to say how the prices in Europe compare to the States? If the car sells for more than a few grand less overseas, it might actually be cheaper to import one, and I would have something extra fun by having rhd.
Lastly, if I do go the route of importing, are there any options in Europe that I would want to watch for that might not have been offered to the US cars? Are Kleemann or Brabus cars cheaper overseas?
Thanks so much for any help. I hope to be making a purchase by April.

That's a great looking car. The upgrades look tasteful. When I have cash in hand, I will be taking another look at your 55.
Really? I was always under the assumption that European cars were cheaper to buy in Europe (where I'd assume they would be more common).
I decided to stick with a US spec Slk55 anyway though - with different bumpers and glass, I wouldn't want to run into an issue registering or insuring a car that didn't meet all the US crash or impact tests.

for example compare this:
USA

England

keep in mind the UK is in pounds (£1=$1.51) so you would pay $45k + for a C250 plus shipping
