Help Identify Noise in the engine bay (Possible used car purchase)
A friend recently went to check out a used 2006 SLK55 that I'm interested in. It's high miles (117k miles), decent price ($13k) but with a comprehensive service/CarFax history.
He sent me this video of a buzzing noise coming from the engine bay. (he apologizes for shooting in portrait mode)
I've not had time to travel to the vehicle's location to see if for myself yet but wanted to get opinions on what this noise could be. I don't want to travel the distance and arrange for pre-purchase inspection if this sound means something really bad.
Anyone have any ideas what this noise is and if it's a major deterrent?
