NavCom firmware update cost
Interesting service appointment to Alfonso Mb in San Luis Obispo this week. Reason, advised service advisor that my 2008 Slk55's NavCom and steering wheel controls appear, but don't function or track vehicle movements. Read on this site that this problem could be caused by the Navcom firmware found on the NavCom. Mentioned this to the service advisor as only Mb has the firmware available, after picking up the car, the advisor said my diagnosis was correct, yet my bill came in at $453.00, HO figure you purchase a car well equipped with electronic components and after 9 yrs your held hostage to purchase access to the over priced components or you can learn to live without them🤔. I have 2 other vehicles and when I bring them in for a service appointment they check and if needed update all onboard software. Why is this not MB standard service policy?
