After spending $1,100 at a dealer at an indy shop to replace my hydraulic ram after it inevitably failed (leaking hyrdaulic fluid through headliner and losing pressure), I knew there had to be a simpler/cheaper solution.
Fast forward a few years (after I sold my '05 and then bought an '06 a few years later after regretting it)...my new one had the same problems.
After a few google/amazon searches I found a repair kit for about $20 and gave it a shot. I made a YouTube video of the process and can guarantee that if you have some patience, you can fix it yourself without replacing the entire unit!
