I recently became the happy owner of a very nice SLK55. This is not my first Mercedes or even my first M113 powered vehicle as I also own a C55 AMG a car I absolutely adore. I have had my SLK for a couple of weeks and I have been pretty happy with it, it is a very unique car and complements my other cars very well. I plan on modifying the car, mostly because I'd like to track it, I do not see the car as a track machine but I would like to take it to the track every once in a while. I'll be sharing my progress here just like I did with my C55. Anyway, here she is.
Congrats on the baby AMG. I am getting mine tomorrow. I plan to mod it as well but not for the track. (radio to get BT, tune and X-pipe). Are you in St Augustine? I am in Naples so might be a bit far for a meet lol
Thank you! You can get the OEM part and swap them in as the steering wheel is the same. Also to get the hood in that position just push the hood until it reaches that angle if the shocks are good it'll stay there.

Your SLK looks beautiful! Wish mine had paddles instead of buttons on the wheel.
The picture with your hood raised - is it open 90 degrees? If so, how do you get it in service position?
Thank you.

Nice, please share your car when you get it, and your updates on the radio, I would love to upgrade it on mine but from what I read it can be really hard or not too bad, I have not been able to find a proper answer. Also, share your exhaust mods, I am thinking of doing headers with a 2nd cat and resonator delete, that with a tune and filters netted a gain of a bit over 50 whp on my C55, so I am eager to try the same formula with the SLK, an x-pipe would be nice, I did not use one on my C55. I live in Stuart, I moved to Florida earlier this year so I do not know how far Naples would be but I am always down for a drive and to check out a new place.
Orion Blue with black and pearl seat centers interior.
It's a blast to drive but it's way to easy to over power the tires and spin off the line.
I just did the X pipe and it is absolutely a must. It wakes up the beast but only when you step on it. No droning and it now sounds amazing. Reminds me my C63.

Wonderful spec! Congrats. Did you do a 2nd cat and resonator delete as well? Also if you don't mind me asking who did the work for you. I am sure it sounds great!
