Bi-xenons on SLK55 and AMG Package

Bi-xenons on SLK55 and AMG Package
It is clear from the U.S. dealer pre-delivery publications that cornering bi-xenons will not be available with either the SLK350 equipped with the AMG Package or with the SLK55. Less clear is whether non cornering bi-xenons will be available for these. My guess is that you still get to order and pay for the "lighting package" which gives you bi-xenons and the headlight washers, but you just don't get the cornering feature. Alternatively it may be that the AMG package and SLK55's all get non cornering bi-xenons as included without having to pay extra for the lighting package. Anyone know for sure?

Bi-xenon headlights with washers is an option (!) for both the AMG SLK55 and the 350. The cornering lights aren't available on the AMG (or AMG lights) anywhere in the world.

US packages
Unfortunately, in the US we don't have any options regarding lighting available other than the "lighting package." If it is correct that to get bi-xenons in the US on the SLK350 with the AMG packagae or the SLK55 you have to pay for the lighting package then it would be interesting if the charge is something less than the package price that would otherwise include the cornering feature. Since pricing isn't out yet for the SLK55 this remains unknown, but for those who have ordered the SLK350 with the AMG package then an answer to the original posted question might be available.

light options
I doubt it - in Germany you can get the the bi-xenon (with washers) as a line-item option, but the price does not change 'only' because you happen to have the SLK55 AMG (or the AMG kit on the 350) - it's EUR825 (before tax) either way.

That's odd - and probably a typo (they had the AMG SLK55 with a 5speed automatic till a few days ago, too).
I can tell you for sure that, in Germany, the cornering headlights are NOT an option with the SLK55 AMG (they don't lower the price mind you)....
Best,
Dan
