Happy to relay that at 125K miles on my 2006 SLK55 that my Control Arms w/Ball Joints are on the beginning to fail. At $785 for replacement before total failure on both I am happy. Both had cracking on both sides of the control arms. As this is our “Happy Day Trip Car” I hope to continue as such for many more years. The Rear main seal also started leaking and is getting fixed at same time. Not bad for a 16yrs old car. My opinion may vary for those who may reply, yet I may learn something or teach something to others with lower mileage.
