Hi everyone, I am a newbie here, first time poster but not new to this excellent forum.

I placed my order for an SLK55 on 6/12/04 at my local dealer (in N. Virginia) and am #1 on the list. My salesman seems very nice and courteous to communicate with. He called to take down my options for Netstar many weeks ago. Unfortunately, so far I have not heard much news and do not seem to have a build date yet, as my salesman he has been extremely vague and has no idea when I should realistically be able to expect delivery.

I am wondering how many people who pre-ordered months ago have build dates (whether they be tentative or solid).

Is Mr Wolf the only lucky guy here (courtesy of Marcus_Benz) who should expect delivery this year, considering he has solid build/delivery info to rely on?

Put my deposit down two weeks ago. #5 on the list at local dealership in Oregon. They tell me that I won't even need to worry about placing my order until Spring of next year and might be seeing the car in June

At least I guess I'll have time to think about color and options.
