I’ve had my SLK55 since January now and I’ve never heard a chirp when locking or unlocking. Does anybody else’s car have the chirp?
Did these cars come with alarms?

 

Nope. No chirp.

 

Yup. 3 chirps. I think there is a key combo to enable or disable.

 

Jbell, I tried looking in the owners manual for the process but nothing worked. I had a cracked fender on my CL55 so I was replacing that and I took the siren off the CL55 and put it in the SLK55 and it worked. From what I read the battery in the siren goes dead and they stop working.
