According to the article at edmunds.com, they are Dunlop Pilot Sport II's. But that may be a mistake as I believe Pilot Sport II's are made by Michelin.

2005 MB SLK 55 AMG
For what it's worth, in Germany, a production SLK55 AMG I saw (i.e. a vehicle sold through to a customer) was using Pirelli's. I have no idea however if the US is using different ones, as is often the case.
