SLK head unit

does the head unit ( COMAND) play mp3 music burnt on DVD?

In a word ...yes.

This means that you can burn almost 5 gigs of music onto one disc in mp3 format and be able to play them with command. Pretty sure that command lets you scroll through them as well.

2005 MB SLK 55 AMG

Only the command head unit allows mp3. Neither the CD changer nor the 'standard' dash unity support mp3 read. If you have the command headunit as part of the DVD nav system, mp3 read is enabled worldwide (again, not on the Changer though!). In Europe you also get DVD Video, which is not availalbe in the US.

Would any of you guys know if the normal head unit would have AUX input? So I can actually use my ipod with it?

yes, the aux input is in the glovebox

yes, every head unit put into the slk has an aux input in the glovebox

SLK350, Infinity FX45

I have the Command Head Unit with HK Premium system (w/out Navigation). The head unit was replaced 2 times and finally it plays CD-R MP3s in the indash player. Will it play DVD RWs? Remember I do not have Nav, but have the latest Command head unit.
