Of all the road tests and reviews I've read on the SLK55, this is by far the most fun!

Hopping on an short flight from Germany, Paul David and I arrived at the Charles De-Gaulle airport in Paris, and were whisked to a smaller field called Orly, where our hosts from DaimlerChrysler met us. At Orly, we boarded a DaimlerChrysler private Airbus, all decked out in business class trim, to be flown to a private landing field located next to the Du Castellet Hotel and the Paul Ricard Test Circuit in the south of France, just north of Marseille.

The next day, we embarked on an excursion that was to take us through the French countryside to a very famous and exclusive place called Bruno’s for a lunch that was heavily laced with truffles, (a rare mushroom-like delicacy that grows below the ground), and back.

Could there be a bias in this reporting?

anyways, i got my SLK55, and been enjoying every second of it

it has been a while i havent posted here

 

Biased or not, I now read these reviews mainly for entertainment value as I've pretty much made up my mind on how good the car really is! That is what I call serious bias Glad you like your SLK 55 though, I can't wait to get mine in a few weeks...

 

I would love to hear more of the actual owners' reviews.
