No RBS on SLK Radio ?!

I meant to ask that a while ago - as happy as I am that the SLK55 Entertainment system finally makes use of CD Text (as well as displaying the text of mp3 DVDs and CDs of course) - I was aghast to find that there seems to be no Radio Broadcast Signal support ? Radios have had that for years now. My 99 Porsche had it. A Mini Cooper we have does it - am I missing something or are we stuck with '98.7' or '104.4' and no scroll text ?!
This is on the 'full' entertaiment (320) package...

Cheers,
Dan

Hey Dan, how have you been?

I have never had a car with that feature, so never have really cared for it. Can't help you there

If you're tuning to 104.4, then I assume you are using a European-spec head unit, and those have RDS (radio data system... all radio stations should "broadcast").

Hi all, just got back- hope you had some nice days !

Anyway, no, it's the US headunit. But Porsche has had this in their units (also done by Becker, Siemens etc.) since 1997 - in the US models (Porsche, too, has different European spec headunits). So what gives with Mercedes ?!
I quite like to see the stations NAME on the display, not just the title and / or messages they broadcast. Seems pretty standard in most higher-end cars right now ?
Heck, my girlfriend's Mini has it ?!! :-(
