Yeah, right. "Soon" like 2 years away at least, and so what if you can make the base 350 faster? It still won't have AMG suspension, brakes, diff, speedshift transmission, etc unless you spend more than it would cost for the 55 in the first place. You can add the Kleeman supercharger kit to make 596 bhp in the 55, which is way more than the four valve engine will put out anyhow.

Do what I do.. DEBADGE THE CAR -- Simple clean lines... no need to impress anybody. Buy the car because you love it for your self enjoyment, not for others.

I dont think so!!! I would rather have a 350 AMG Tunned to Kill Old hat SL55 tech any day. Oh and besides look at the front or the SLK55 it is ruined buy the dated and tacky vents which give it a square look from the front!! THATS A FACT (THEIR NOT ON THE SLR I WONDER WHY). they destroy the line of the car coming fron the side skirts the 350 AMG kit is MUCH nicer and thats a FACT (More like the SLR). However, the 55 rear looks VERY VERY nice (mean) and totaly suits the car well done on the 55 rear much better than 350 AMG rear . but come on the 55 front looks like a BOX/RECTANGLE! seriously you know it makes sence!!!!

BOTH GREAT CARS!!!! but 350 with the CORRECT upgrades has alot more going for it if you get down to the facts. I would hope this makes it clear not jellous just FACT. Im 23 and gettin a £45000 car (oh and its not with Dadys money, my own hard earned every pennys)

Oh and the sound of the 350 is so much sweeter due to the new tech. 55 is a low grumble which turns into a roar at about 120k/60mph BUT the 350 roars at about 30mph much better for quick blatts down the street.

Ah what about the SLK350s that come with the AMG package on them? Are they not AMG? Yeah, it isn't a full blown one like the SL55 but it still has AMG stuff from the manufacture that comes with it.

I agree with someone here who said....you should just be happy with the car for yourself, not for others.
If your SLK350 doesn't make you happy then you have to ask yourself why? I doubt putting an AMG badge will really make you feel that much better.
Another good point.....those who know will call you out. Those who don't know will not give a rats ***.

I guess the ultimate point is its your car, do what you want. Do what makes you feel good!

There is a part of me that gets angry when you see an AMG badge on a non AMG car. And yes, if it doesn't have the AMG engine then its not an AMG car...simple as that!

If you badge a car the wrong way in Sydney the dealer deducts up to 30% of its value to have it restored and fully inspected. In many cases they will refuse to even buy the car. So take heart in the fact that locally it does nothing but hurt the seller where it really matters.

Nothing stings a wanna-be more than faking a better car and losing on the real value at the same time.

Some people buy S500 and totally badge it up to S600 .... how sad is that.

seriously..who gives a rats *** what they do to there car,were all grown ups here talking like little spoiled kids,,i can care less if someone does that to there car,its there car,to each his own,,you guys who have the slk55 act like you have the ultimate car,,the slk55 is peice of crap compared to the SL55,id maybe understand if you had a car that no one else has like an aston martin etc. but come on now,,i cant believe how you guys react to this,you guys act as if someone stole 100k from you,grow up,its just a freakin car,and yes anyone who does that looks stupid,im with you guys on that,but im not gonna start calling people *******,poser etc..hell in laguna beach over the summer,i saw some dooshbag with an s65...thats twice as bad,he had the amg on the trunk and everything,,you can tell it was an s430 or s500 at best,looked pretty stupid,but if it makes him feel happy,who cares

ill take an sl55 over slk55 anyday...i drove the slk55,,its too small,its still kind of girlie car in some ways..thats just my opinion,flame me if you want,if you want a real roadster..sl55 anyday over slk55.. :p

ive driven both the slk55 and sl55,...sl55 is way funner to drive than the slk55..im not even comfortable in the slk at all..its just too dam small..MB should of made it 5 inches longer..than it would kick way more *** than it does now..but now its whatever to me..yes its really fast..but still too small im gonna put amg badges all over my e500 and post pics of it so everyone will throw a hissy fit

Saw an E320 today (single exhaust) without an AMG body kit...he had debadged the E320 emblem and poorly ( it was crooked) placed an AMG badge where the E320 should go. I dont care what anybody else thinks this guy was a poser. Wolf
