According the the dealer ordering guide there are 11 new exterior colors for 06. A bunch of interior color options too.
Also, I think you can get the brake calipers painted too!

Quality pix! I've only seen silver or white ones before... It is a crazy colour for the money... who would buy a green one?

Green is ok.. I wouldn't refuse it.
The SLR badging inside though on the centre console... that can go. I mean do the pedals have "stop" and "go" written on them as well?
There's a kind of Dodge Viper profile on the 4th picture don't you think?

I like the intensity of it, it makes the lines stand out well... for the money though I think I would have to make a *sensible* and more sophisticated choice... you know the neighbours are going to HATE you for getting one of these, and you can't have them accusing you of having no taste whatsoever can you? Can you? Or would you not have neighbours if you can afford one of these... or maybe you wouldn't care... yadayadayada....

Has anyone read the article in Car and Driver about Gordon Murray. It's sad to see that the people in charge of Benz have no respect for this man. He recently spoke out at a conference about how dimwitted the management at Benz are. It's brief but an interesting read.
I personally think he's one of the godfathers in the world of automobiles. Who can deny the greatness of the F1?

I like the interior too. Green? I think there's nothing wrong with getting the color that you paid for.... C'mon, no matter how good these cars look in silver and black, I think that having the option to choose a color of your preference is THE ONLY WAY TO GO (are you listening AMG?) -- especially when you're thunking down $500K!

The mid-stream switch from a front-engine to a mid-engine layout and lengthening the body to acommodate this change, detracted from the appearance in my opinion. Still, it is quite striking.

"British Racing Green" and the "natural" leather interior is THE most classic of all racing car colors. It goes back to the earliest days of sports cars and is as classie as they come. My first new MB was a 1970 280SL in exactly the same color combonation. Takes me back...
