magwheel...i want your life...


unfornunatley i have not been able to see any of you amazing cars because i live over in powell, ohio. I see a ferrari 430 spider (yellow) like every other day, maybe you know the guy. I have a one question though, did you buy you f430 a few months ago at MAG? Also, I agree with you in the fact that i am surprised your dealer got the SLR and not the Crown Eurocars dealer.

Your cars are MIND BLOWING, do you have a favorite?

Hi Jamie, Sorry, I don't know the person who owns the Yellow F430 Spider. I do have a good friend who owns a 06 Red and Tan Ferrari F1 Spider. I bought my F430 from Ferrari of Scottsdale last July (05). As far as I know, our local Mercedes dealer still has their SLR..... got it in late February or early March..... Whoa!

As I say in other forums, I really don't have a favorite because they're all fanatatic to drive and each one has its own personality. I try and drive them in order so that each one gets a chance to stretch its legs! Take care Jamie. Mags

magwheel, thanks for the response, the reason i was asking about the F430 at Magcars was because a buddy of mine was intrested in the Aston Martin DB9 volante they had and they took us in the garage where they kept all the custom ordered cars and I saw a ferrari F430 like yours and he let me toy around with it for a few minutes, and i was wondering if that was yours but, guess not...great car anyway you shake it though...

Crown's SLR has been sold and on the road for about 11 months now, it's at the shop now, but should be going home today!!
All the dealers got one- the hit on the floor plan for a place that couldn't move it has to be crazy....

Mag, I have to tell you what a pleasure it's been to follow this thread from it's inception. You unaffected demeanor has been so down to earth and gracious...not to mention humorous.

Kudos to you for your good fortune and your willingness to share the ride(s). Keep the good stuff coming and we're all too happy to vicariously drive with you through your posts and pics.

could you tip me off to who bought it if you know, im guessing your one of the service men there. I go through crown for all my cars and plan on buying a CLK63 amg pretty soon. Im sure the new germain dealership will have some of mercedes' best cars when it opens...

so i was reading this thread and was thinking magwheel must be from california or texas because theres not much in my state. so then i read on and discovered that magwheel is from OHIO! I was thinking...this is cool...and what an impressive collection of cars....i mean..wow!...then i started reading about the SLR test drive..I remember reading about a dealership near me having one...so i was thinking where did he test drive it at..he said "small town".. so i scroll down and look for somthing familiar...then i see it "Fred Martin..Youngstown, OH" ....I'm from Niles. Which is about 10 minutes away... Nice to meet ya.

I was searching for a 355 Ferrari on eBay when i noticed that your 575 marranello was listed. Do you have a new car in mind that you are planning on buying?

Caught me huh? No... too many cars and only one ***! I just kinda got stupid and bought more cars than I could use sensibly. The 997 Turbo is sitting outside without a garage so I figured something had to go. The Maranello is a fabulous car but the Turbo is easier to drive and a hell of a lot faster. I'll be selling one more car in the Spring. Can't let the cat out of the bag though! Magwheel

Awww shucks AMGME, I'm just a 'little ole country boy' trying to enjoy life before I go down for the final count. We all have the same thing in mind. I've just been a little 'luckier' because my Father was very successful in his business and he gave me the ability to buy these great cars! Magwheel

It's always nice to see your posts Magwheel, I've got several friends that let owning multiple exotics go to their head, not to the extent they become an ahole, but they are far from modest, you just seem to enjoy life and appreciate everything around you, your luck couldn't have strucka nicer guy.
