Since the convertible is out what happens to the coupe? Will there be 3500 made or no more is going to be made?

Since the 2007 is the 722 not the regular slr coupe and the 2008 is the convertible?

I think after 2008 slr roadster there wont be anymore SLR. Should be the end of it until the next new Mclaren car.

It is all going to depend on how many of these roadsters they sell because if not, they'll have to do something else to reach the magic 3500 target. Also remember the SLR was supposed to be built over 7 years just like a regular Mercedes so I'd bet at some point it will get a facelift like any other Mercedes. That will close out production.

No, well at least they shouldn't be. No one could or at least shouldn't think a car is going to stay the same for 7 years. A lot of people seem to have forgotten that the SLR is a regular 7 year Mercedes like all the rest. With only 1100-1200 sold so far they have a lot more to sell so after the 722 and Roadster they'll likely be a facelift. My guess is that the 722 will become the base model and the roadster will be a regular model also, both with small touches, more colors, the usual lights/bumpers tweaks and more power. Of course they'll likely tinker with the ride/handling again.
