Bi-turbo or twin-turbo
The supercharger set-up was originally planned at that 585hp range..
NOw w/the onset of the super hp wars..MB was rumored to change the set up to the new twin-turbos they are putting in the maybach and S600s and tune that.
Mercedes isn't messing around.

The thing is that with a properly tuned supercharger, you can get more HP into a smaller space than with turbos. This is why a Mustang with a super can beat a Civic with a T-66 turbo. So, who knows what they're thinking.

whoa, no more premiums for me! SL500 was on a premium now we can get a SL55 for almost the same price!
i guess no SLR, but S600 or Maybach 57 or 62. I'll drive my mom and dad around! I can't wait till i'm 15!

Even with the Maybach, you will see the premiums being up there, just because of the limited amount of cars that will be produced. I can still get one of the first Maybachs, but personally, I don't really like the car. I can't really see owning a $300,000.00+++ sedan

I know very little about driving an SL. Almost nothing. I'm just saying, if we were to order a Maybach would it not come in a couple years. Dad's worked real hard for everything, least thing i can do is at least let him enjoy the car by having him in the back with all the gadgets and me at the wheel?

Very noble of you to want to drive your dad around... me, I just love driving, so I'd have no problem just driving it myself :-D
And the delivery time on Maybachs is just about a year.
