Don Johnson was just on Larry King on CNN tonight talking among other things of his trip a few months ago to Germany where he ordered the new SLR. I just stopped by here to see what one looks like. I guess I've been in the new E-Class vacuum too long!lol
I think the new doors are totally cool!!! Can't wait to see one in person!

I saw the DJ interview as well, and signed on to see a pic of the SLR. I thought it was funny that DJ woulnd't reveal the price-he must be using the proceeds from the 'cuda he sold at Barrett-Jackson in January
After seeing it, I've decided-I'm going to trade my C-Coupe in on one! Okay...well...maybe I can trade it in a get a set of SLR wheels? One wheel?? Can I get at least one wheel?? LOL

From my understanding the McLaren guys fight the Benz guys on how to make this car on a daily basis. It should be an awesome car though, I mean, it looks like nothing else on the planet.

I've been seeing picture of the SLR for years now, and for some reason, the mnore i see it the more it starts to look out-dated! 
I see this car on the net practically everywhere! i really hope mercedese does something to update it's look when it's finally released!

Hey, I dunno about it being a Super-Car though.
Its a beautiful car, but everyone can expect that from Mercedes......but, what, about 350K for a V8 that'll do 0-100kph (thats 0-62mph right?) in 4.2 seconds?
That's a little too much if you ask me.....for that I'd get an S600, SL600, and a Z06........all of which will whoop its *** on the road, and all for the same money.
Just my .02, not that I could afford those cars.....hell, id have trouble putting .02 together...lol

No final specs are out on the SLR yet. All we know is that McLaren is developing it and it will be a track and straight line beast.
It will be at least 500 kb lighter than the SL55 or 600 coupled with a similar performing engine it should out accelerate anything on the road and come very close to the Carerra GT.
0-60 means nothing all it is is a function of your ability to gain traction these days. Slap on some slicks to nearly any car and you can shave a lot of time of the 0-60.
