wow wow wow...SLR
Just saw the SLR for the first time...MB Manhattan Showroom on Park Avenue...they must have brought in today as it wasn't there last night...amazing all Black...had the hood open so you could see that amazing motor..doors were open too... deep bucket seats...you sit very low in the car...had turbine wheels...huge rubber...truely looks like a car from another planet
Also present was silver 300SL Gull Wing and Blue 300SL roadster

I saw them as well-- definitely worth the visit if you are in the area. The SLR looks much better in person than in photographs, especially the proportions. I was told that the one on display is a prototype, so I am not sure whether the production version will have the same proportions.
