Calber Motors in Anaheim, CA just got their first SLR in. They are going to package it with a Maybach and sell them together.

So some unlucky schmuck gets a Maybach bundled into the package. Lucky him/her. I wonder if the SLR is selling for over sticker.

Yep, Caliber is selling the car for 1.2 mill, but you are buying one & getting the second for free!

You must not have heard the sarcasism in my voice as I was typing those words!!! lol!!

And don't think that Caliber is the only one. In fact, I know the GSM at Keys European in Van Nuys and they have one in thier showroom. He told me that they turn down an offer of $1 mill. and they are holding out for $1.5!!!!!!

LOL... It's all Sarcasistic when we speak of these outrageous prices. The SLR is a DMAN nice car, but heck, I'd take a couple of Ferraris for that price and have the rest left over for some more toys.

I'm upset that Mercedes is pricing some of the newer 'special' vehicles into the strosphere. As we have seen with the 65's, it's not working well.

As far as the Keyes story above, I would say that is when two fools met. The one that offered the million and the one that turned down the million dollar offer.

Yep, they turned down a customer that offered $1mill!!! Also, I spoke to a friend of mine who works at Caliber and they turned down $900k yesterday morning!!! We sold our car last night to a guy who had a deposit on the car since '99!!

My friend is the GM at Keys European Motors. I can't believe he did that. I am going to have to have a talk with him. Its been about 8 months since I talked to him last. I dropped by his store and saw another friend of mine and he told he at that time, they were buying E55 from other stores and selling them for 25K over msrp. I told him Caliber had one for me a sticker in a month.

Agreed. Well, maybe not $125K. If this is a pool you're starting, I day by September 06, SLR sticker will be at or below $250K.

Caliber was considering auctioning theirs off at a high-society charity event. Interesting thing about cars like an SLR or McLaren F1 are how much money Mercedes/McLaren will make after the transaction for repairs. McLaren made far more on servicing F1s than they ever made on actual car sales.

I will second that and tell you that I heard one of our SLR technicians say that the ceramic brake rotors alone were about $11k to replace! OUCH!

Hello, Mr. SLK55 AMG that a nice ride..... ....I never drive the SLK 55 but I bet it must be fast.....I drive the SL 55 AMG is nice but not rare like the Brabus car. My engine is not on your lists because my engine is the first twin cams that they make in the year of 1990 to 1992 which is the high horse power output. My car spec's of the motor is M119 KE-5 fuel & ingition system. Enlarged displacement to 6.5 Liter Twin cams 32 valve. Horse power450 @ 4900rpm & Torque 485@ 3800rpm. This car have mid to high end power thank to BRABUS. :v
I got my car done in 1999 at Brabus Newprot Beach Andreas B. Bellgardt and James J. Dunphy they the one who work on my car .

My friend car is going to Braubus right now. He got the Silver Arrow SL......I think he getting the Brabus enlarged displacement to Brabus 5.8 which will pump out about 408 horse power and 420 Torque.....around there I am not sure......Because it not my car.....I hope it answer all your question Mr. SLK 55AMG and again I like your car!!
