I have to disagree. I don't know which market you refer to but you cannot find a C63 for 50% of MSRP. MSRP including PP and excluding guzzler is $69K in the us. Good luck finding an 09 for 35K. The cheapest one I have heard fall in the high 40s and that is about a 30% hit.
even if you refer to trade in value, you can get more than 35K.
Sorry for being off topic. It sucks that you got bumped. If you truly want the car, I would definitely bypass hte dealer and talk directly to MBUSA. Someone of your caliber i.e. able to spend 300K will be heard and your case will be investigated.
Of course any dealer trying to put a 100K "market adjustment" on top of MSRP isn't going to move them, but I can't see this car sitting around dealer showrooms for days on end at MSRP. They should move pretty quick if Mercedes keeps production down and the roadster version is going to be next summer's must have car IMO.

SLS sounds like a great car at a sensible price...really good step to tune up the big 6.2 as it was clearly detuned at 500bhp...I wonder how many parts the engine shares with the improved 6.2 with the P31? pkg equipped 2010/11 C63s...sound like they really beefed up the internals...

price wise the stealers here will try and gouge...the car is decent value at MSRP but a select few who like to impress the neighbors will pay above, those with a brain will wait 6months or a year and pay a grand or two under msrp but it seems a sure thing the SLS won't be the flop that the SLR and SL65 were...

The SL65 BS was a great idea, but poorly executed. It should have been with the V8, not the V12, but that would have been stepping on the SLS's toes.

Give it 3 yrs and then you can talk...-Rob
One thing for sure...they will drop in value as all cars do. How fast?
