Anyone gone from a 997.2 Turbo to an SLS or own both?

I currently have a 997.2 TT with EvomsIT tune, PDK, and Cargrapahic exhaust- its faster than a stock Turbo-S.

But I was wondering if any of you SLS owners have had both and what are/were your impressions of both cars.

Im in a unique place to get an SLS for cheap (new) and I own the Porsche so if the valuation on the Porsche is correct I would leap out. I still need to drive the SLS as the M156's I have had and have are not up to par with this engine.

Any opinions?

Vic, seeing that you have a great appreciation with the M156, you will be blown away with the differences the M159 has to offer. It produces a feeling from the thrust combined with the sound that the Porsche cannot replicate. You must drive one. It will certainly surpass your expectations. I never thought there would be much of a diiference between both power plants and I was sorely mistaken. If you have this opportunity give it a try.

Thanks Nick- what are the mechanical differences between the 159 and 156?

Pretty much everything, besides the came, kifters, upper and lower intakes in the motor, the biggest and certainly the most important would be the dry sump lubrication. This is race car technology which not many street cars possess. The cooling of both oil and other lubricants remain cool when the car is pushed on the track. The other major difference is the DCT transmission. Big difference from the MCT cars you have. Anyhow, the M159 produces sounds that other cars don't and you will definetely announce your arrival anywhere you go.
