yes I think they are the original wheels also and I'm about to take them off because I just realized the inner fender lips have been pulled back probably because this car had other wheels on it and or it was lowered at some point that the wheels were rubbing. however Im sure the car was modified before as mentioned the painted wheels and fins someone installed a valentine radar detector built in the mirror (very cool and usefull) looks to be a very clean install and the windows are tinted so the previous owners were not concerned to change the car. I fall in the same boat I like to modify my cars I can't leave well enough alone so I'm not worried about purchasing a slightly modified car My Ford Gt is "slightly modified" (1243 rwph)
I just picked up a second set of wheels for the car that were not painted once i get chance to put them on I will take some more pics and post I want to put slightly wider tires on those wheels as well and I will lower the car also but making sure nothing rubs again
any one use the wisetech coilovers ?
Yeah, people roll the fenders when they run bigger tires or less offset. Had to do that on my previous car, but I would cringe to do that on the SLS.

I'm thinking of going to 275 upfront and 305 in the rears on stock wheels. Anyone have that set up?
You can't get the correct tire height with those widths. I wanted to up the size in the rears, have to go to 325/25 to get the correct diameter. Otherwise car will sit high and speedo will be off. Also have to be careful front/rear are proper so you don't get issues with ESC errors. Unfortunately I still have a lot of tread on the crappy Continentals so it'll be a little while before I can test that.

ya that is what I was thinking , 305s in the back and 275 upfront but have not found the tires, I also bought another set of wheels with supposedly near new tires so.. maybe a while before I get anymore tires

I just got an email that someone had replied to this thread, I had not been on this site for sometime because sadly my garage along with the SLS and a few other cars were flooded during harvey year and half ago. but not to worry the garage is all redone after about a year of work and made some changes that made it even better than it was before. As for the SLS I will try and buy another one when the time is right I really liked the car and enjoyed the short time I had with it, it was a shame I didnt get to drive it more before it was gone in the flood.

Well it only took 8 years but I finally got
another sls to replace the one lost in the flood back in 2017. It wasn’t long before the work started on it (like 4 hours after delivery) stereo came out and I installed one of those modules that turns the original screen into a touch screen and car play etc and of course lowered the car once again much like the last go around ! Look familiar ? I have a set of blk wheels for it.
