Just had my new (to me) 2011 SLS in for service and fluid changes. While the car was in for service, I had the dealership install the transmission software update.

100%, I unfortunately wasn't able to have my dealership in HK do this for me so had to go the Weistec route, but glad I did! I HATED the original programming, especially coming from a 458 and knowing how the transmission should shift, and the update made it feel like a brand new car.

How do I know if my SLS has the latest transmission software?

I had the dealership check for me. Not sure of another way.

take it from the OG….

Go to the dealer and say they shifting is slow and sluggish and they will tell you if it’s been programmed up or not.

They need to open up a ticket to check in to it 😉
