The End of My SLS

I don't think I posted this here, if I did, forgive the double post.

The end of last September spelled the end of my AMG SLS. It was silver outside, red inside. A classic. I protected it for 10 years, hand cleaned/oiled the seats, etc.. I stored it in my father's garage near St. Pete Beach for those 10 years while I lived in NYC and Paris.
I had just moved to Miami Beach... and after 10 years I was 10 days away from moving my SLS from St Pete to Miami. I was a little under the weather when the hurricane warnings were issued... and they've said so many times "Up to 10 feet of water!!!!" and we'd get ZERO... that another lame sounding warning didn't get me enough attention. It didn't for about 10,000 other Tampa/St Pete residents either. So we left our cars where they were.

The storm surge put about 1 foot of water into the car. Mold was on the seats a few days later. Nothing could be done.

Received an insurance check for $215,000. $50K more than I paid, but with inflation who knows.

The only good news, I took the insurance money and invested it all into AST SpaceMobile stock. It's doubled in value since I bought it, not even one year ago.

Thanks. I'm surprised I've been in Miami for a year now... and have not seen ONE SLS coupe. 10 years ago there were at least 3, including mine.

Plenty of garish ferraris, etc., but zero SLS coupes. Only one or two roadsters.

Exactly, hope more can learn to appreciate these beasts, I mean, maybe a lot of them buy it as a collector item and not drive it on the road. I wonder if the sightings are more common in Beverly hills for example.

Miami traffic and roads suck. And Sunday morning I’m sharing the road with legions of **** cyclists.

Traffic stinks in a lot of areas not just Miami, same goes in Toronto here in Canada.
