Automated Manual Shift Speed??
The one big thing that struck me as a problem with the Smart is the transmission. If you drive it as a manual, you can anticipate what gear you need and it works, much, much better. I know Ferrari's automated manual can shift in a matter of milliseconds. Does anyone know just how long it takes a Smart to shift....seems like about 45 seconds when it decides to shift just as you are taking a left across a busy street....
Kept in manual mode from then on....

All ferrari's come in a 6 speed manual, or a paddle shifter(semi-automatic). Few Ferrari's are automatic: Ferrari 400i(built back in the 70's-80's which has a 3 speed auto box) and the other was the ferrari 456 GTA in 1997. Lamborghini's also come in 6 speed manuals, or paddle shifter (e-gear).

I think it's tragic that this dreaded auto-manual MESS was the only way to make selling these cars to the lazy dullards in this country feasible. An otherwise good little city car is hobbled by this fatal flaw, that we Americans just can't seem to do without...? Personally, I'm actually ashamed of this! LOL
