Cabriolet Rear Window Help!
Hey there, my window is falling out! Last summer I noticed the top was loose and figured it was by design for raising lowering the top. But no such luck. It’s slowly coming undone.
Sooo…
My three best guesses are:
1) Monkey Snot (3M Weatherstrip Adhesive)
2) “As Seen On TV” miracle double sided tape.
3) Actual 3M emblem double sided tape.
I’m leaning towards Monkey Snot. Anyone have any better ideas?
TIA

This just in from the Dept of Boy Do I Feel Stupid Dept.
The top of the window and about half-way down the sides is free to allow the window to pivot up and in when you raise the rear section of the top.
There’s a bar with a roller on the end that fits in a U-shaped bit on the window frame that pivots up and in, or down and out to hold the window tight against the top.
I sure wish I’d have sussed that out before I glued the window in, preventing the rear section from going up!
Oh well, nothing better than spending the nicest day of spring, so far, picking booger-sized pieces of Monkey Snot off the weatherstripping! It would have been a 5 minute job, including checking my oil, had I sussed that out beforehand.
