Sept 11th 2021 Lets break a world record for Largest Parade of Mercedes-Benz

Hi everyone, I'm a native Atlantan and I have a small collection of cars, artwork and wristwatches. I've been in the car business for 30 years and am a Ferrari historian, writer and I love putting on car shows and social events. I have been working on this event for 2 years. In 2008 I got 275 BMWs together and drove them in a single line parade from Chateau Elan to Road Atlanta and in 2011 I got 270 Porsche on Atlanta Motor Speedway in motion, at once. Now we are going to shatter the existing parade record of 384 Mercedes-Benz. I am expecting over 500 Mercedes-Benz and hundreds of spectators and enthusiasts at World Famous Chateau Elan Winery in Braselton, GA. We will assemble at the Winery at 9:30am and the parade will officially depart at 11am. The parade will leave Chateau Elan Winery and drive under police escort to downtown Braselton, GA for a party and concert to celebrate all of us breaking the world record for the Largest Parade of Mercedes-Benz ever done! The Braselton Police Department has granted us permission to have all types of race cars in the parade. We are reaching out to MBUSA to see if they could bring out some historical and important racing cars from the Mercedes-Benz Museum! Feel free to reach out to me anytime and your can find more information on our website www.automotiveworldrecords.com or call me 770-846-0440 I am Mitchel DeFrancis. You can see pictures from my previous events.

I am asking everyone for help in passing the word out about this record attempt. I am looking for sponsors big and small, any vendors are welcome. I need volunteers and most of all I need people to sign up and attend! If you sign up, it is CRUCIAL that you actually show up. The whole Mercedes-Benz world globally will be watching us. I want to break the world record and I cannot do it without you. Hit me up with any questions at all. Thank you all for your time!!! See you in Braselton in September!

Hello everyone! This event is still on and we have a LOT of incredible cars signed up. There is still time and we need every single car to count towards the world record attempt. I would like to thank ALL of our sponsors: Weistec Engineering, Optima Batteries, Michelin, Butler Tire, Perma-Tune, On Site Shine, VINWIKI, My Mercedes Place and The MB Market!

You can still pre-register at www.AutomotiveWorldRecords.com and you can also register the day of the event.

We are expecting a tremendous amount of cars to show up the day of the event on September 11th. We will start staging all the cars at 9am and the official parade will begin at 11am. We will leave Chateau Elan Winery & Resort and drive to Braselton Town Green in downtown Braselton, GA. There all of our vendors will be set up, we will music and the Braselton Brewery Company will be open for us with incredible craft beers and fantastic menu! Please feel free to call me with questions! 770-846-0440

Hello everyone thank you to everyone who is pre-registering! We need all the information to submit to Guinness for our attempt. Anyone is welcome to come the day of this event, which is Sept 11th and sign up on Saturday. We are getting an amazing amount of cars signing up now, about 20-29 PER DAY! We are getting close and every single car counts! The current record of 384 is held by a Chinese Mercedes-Benz club and I would sure like to bring that record to the USA.

The morning of the event we are expecting a lot of early risers to start gathering and staging in the two crescent shaped parking lots behind Chateau Elan Winery. We start official staging and registering at 9am. Everyone please be sure all people in your party sign a waiver. I can have multiple people sign the waiver but you must have this signed waiver to get in and get your car registered. I urge everyone to PRE-REGISTER if at all possible at www.AutomotiveWorldRecords.com and you can sign up there. Once again you can sign up the morning of Sept 11th. We are having a local high school present the flag and Honor Guard for 9/11. We are expecting dozens of chapters of MBCA and local clubs caravans to arrive Friday through Sat. morning.

Chateau Elan just released more rooms and there are several still available. There is also a Hampton Inn Braselton that is basically on the propery of Chateau Elan. There are many hotels in and around Braselton, GA. Its a beautiful place.

The parade will leave Chateau Elan at 11am sharp and drive to Braselton Town Green in charming downtown Braselton. I love that place. Anyway, we will start filtering in on Centennial Road and start parking all around the Green. We will start parking at Braselton Brewery Company Brewpub and then to the Braselton Multi Level car park next to the Brewpub. The Brewpub has such great food and great craft beers, love that place.

We will know once the parade arrives at the Braselton Town Green if we broke the world record. If we did break the record it could take weeks for an official certification after we submit all our evidence.

PLEASE PLEASE sign up if you can come and please SHOW UP!! I would hate to miss the record by one just because you didn't feel like coming. This is a team effort. We need every single car to come if possible. The weather will be absolutely perfect low of 60 and high of 85 and sunny. All the vendors will be set up on the green along with a very popular DJ playing some background tunes while we enjoy food and beers from the Brewpub, which is run by a Navy Veteran!!!

We all understand how sensitive this date is. 20th anniversary of a horrible attack. I watched it on TV when I was working at GTE/Verizon in Atlanta. We will never forget. Hope to see you all there. thank you so much for the opportunity to invite you all.

Hi everyone! We did not break the world record. We had 313 cars and were 71 cars short of the world record. Too bad MBUSA did not get involved, same with all local MB dealers, despite me trying to almost 2 years. They didn't send one single car and this event was in their own back yard. We had a terrific time anyway.

Is it time for another attempt?
