Regional Sections Please!!!!!!
Mods -- mostly every BMW and Lexus forum has regional forums in the "events and gatherings section" can you please create this, because its so hard to meet people in the tri-state area when they dont post in the gatherings section because all they say is "all the meets happen in CA" when really we have a lot of meets but MB attendence is low. and this is the biggest mb forum on the net, so PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE CREATE A REGIONAL FORUMS SECTION!
Here's an example, and you can see by how organized meets and gatherings are in this forum, i always go to bmw meets now because i cant meet any other owners in my area who know about meets. So please please do this! http://forum.e46fanatics.com/forumdisplay.php?f=11

Out Of Control!!
I am gonna have to agree with Vik on this... a bunch of other forums such as teckademics and supraforums have things seperated by regions... Im thinking like a northeast, southeast, midwest, south west, northwest... good idea vik, wish I posted it when I thought of it!!!

I think they should work on keeping the site up for a solid week (w/o DB errors) before they contemplate adding forums.

I suggest allowing crossposting for meets only. It is true that some people do not browse the Events area, including myself.
Now the other issue is getting people to show up.

BUMP
Can I get a response from some type of Moderator???
I mean there are so many dead and useless forums on this site like the Collectables and Safety/Testamonials. Please, create this, this site is meant for enthusiasts to come together, how will I know what enthusiasts are in my neck of the woods????

Regional Level Forums
I agree completely. Living in Tennessee none of the little get-togethers in the LA area have any bearing on me. I would like to know about activities in the southeast US.
This would not detract from my overall participation in many forums but it would also give me a "home" forum.

Actually we haven't found enough effect for regional forums.
However, I really know how much of an interest it is.
I'll see what I can build up to present to Simon in the evening.

I would love to have some regional forums setup. Makes meeting local owners much easier. Every other board I participate on has these forums available...
Please keep us updated.

WE NEED REGIONAL FORUMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Every online forum has it except this. All you need to do is make a Regional Forum link to seperate links.
California - CA
Great Lakes - IL, IN, MI, MN, OH, WI
Great Plains & Rocky Mountains - CO, IA, KS, MO, MT, ND, NE, SE, SD, WY
Mid Atlantic - DC, DE, MD, PA, VA, WV
New England - MA, ME, NH, RI, VT
Tri-State - NY, NJ, CT
Pacific Northwest - AK, HI, ID, OR, WA
Southeast - AR, AL, GA, FL, KY, LA, MS, NC, SC, TN
Southwest - AZ, MN, NV, OK, TX, UT
Europe
Canada
Asia
Middle East
Australia
I think we can all agree that forums like Collectables and Safety forums are useless and just waste space, no one visits or checks them, its like a ghost forum. Same with the Leasing forum. It just wastes space and no one checks it out.

And it's just not me either, I've talked to a few other members.
If you don't think so, please explain. I just think that it would split up the forum almost too much, and we'd end up with something similair to Ferrarichat where each region basically has their own 'forum', rules, and what not.

Out Of Control!!
Newport meets in Newport, RI are said to be attended by members from Newport Beach, CA... not gonna happen as its like a 4 or 5 day caravan between groups, lol

In other forums regional sections are great ways for locals to meet and greet and hang out as well as advise each other of local shows, help fellow enthusiasts with DIY projects, etc.
Please do consider adding these as I believe members will get great benefit from this.
Keep it simple and slim as suggested above:
North East
North West
South West
Midwest
Great Lakes
Rocky Mountains
South East
Mid-Atlantic
Thanks for your consderation.
