Politics in a sub-forum?

I've seen the vitriol spewed between folks of different political affiliations in the OT and wonder if politics/religion shouldn't get its own sub-section....

At least that way, you know what's coming.

I have a feeling that a lot of this stuff is a turn-off to the milder members here.

Any thoughts, people?

It's a turn-off, I agree, but I can't see a politics forum working. Half the OT threads turn into politics. Is someone going to police moving a thread that starts out about Britney Spears and degenerates into "she must be a dumbocrat" to the politics forum? I just pick and chose the threads in the OT forum very carefully. At least the bs is normally confined there.
