2010 E550 Coupe
2010 E550 night lighting

This is for all benz owners who drive E550 coupes(2010 model). The light that illuminates the positions on the outer ring of the headlight selector switch was not working. The selector dial in the middle is illuminated and still works...Took it to local dealer, who replaced the switch..He informs me that the replacement switch is the correct one but that the surround bezel still doesn't light up (it did for me for a year and a half..)
Kicker is that the dealer says that the switch never lit up at night and that he can't find a part that does..Technical experts at MB Canada said that through their system, they talked to the people in charge of lighting the E550 and acccording to them the trim surround(with the icons for the light positions)never lit up at night.
How can I prove them wrong? I know that the headlight selector switch lights up (at night). Can anybody tell me if their headlight selector trim ring lights up at night. That's for an 2010 E550 coupe...
This is my first thread posting,i'm getting desperate to find a straight answer!!!
