Posts already read not showing as read?
In the past week or two I noticed that even though I thoroughly read all the replies to a post, the post is still in bold type.
I visit this forum every day. I am logged in. Even so, all the posts from prior days are still bold. I have to check at the top of the section to see what time yesterday I last visited and then scroll down to the next most recent post to find the oldest post that I did not see previously.
Is this a forum issue or is possibly some setting in my computer (windows 8.1) that has changed?
Any thoughts on this issue? Your response would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Bob,
Thanks for the prompt reply.
I read your response, but still do not know how to mark forum items or sections as read.
I checked FAQ, quick links and other sections, but cannot find out how to mark as read.

I agree with bmeck2003. I understand your wish to be able to track readership by method and I understand the potential advertising/marketing reasons for this. However I have to believe there is a better way to maintain the old system ease of use.
I know the new programming annoys me greatly and have subconsciously finding myself more on other sites. This is a great site and I don't want to leave. Please give us back our old functionality.

Hi,
As far as I know the change was made to match community settings to upcoming mobile app functions. It was network wide and I've been told it may take as many as 10 days for it all to reset as far as showing read threads. To mark all forum posts read, go to the drop down menu under your user name on the right of the top nav bar and select 'Mark Forums Read'. You should only have to do that once. Thanks.

Please see my last post. Nothing has changed after approx. 10 days. Will it ever be the same as before?

I understand and they are making changes that should help. IB is trying out different approaches on smaller communities which I think bring us closer and all I can ask for is your patience. Thanks.
