why are the forums becoming so slow?

I have noticed multiple forums becoming slow . is there some kind of moronic update that everyone been adding to forums?
also how can I disable the "infinite scroll? or whatever its called. its making the forums almost unusable on a brand new 1200 dollar laptop that has no problem running anything else
