I have for sale two rear air shocks that came off my 2004 E500 4Matic. They have 55,000 miles on them and still function properly. The reason im selling them you ask? One morning I walked out to my car to leave for work only to find it sitting VERY low. I instantly knew something was wrong and had the car towed to the stealership. The dealership called me with the bad news, my rear air shocks were bad and they were unable to hold air. At the time I remember finding this EXTREMELY weird that not one, but both of my rear air shocks went out at the same time but I am no mechanic. I went ahead with the repair as I was going out of town and needed the vehicle. The SA called me and said the car would be done in one hour and I could come now to square up with payment. After I arrived, and payed, the SA came in and asked me to join him in the shop. I knew this wouldn't be good. With the new shocks already on I took one look at my car and saw that it was sitting the exact same way it was when I dropped it off. Apparently they never checked much on the vehicle as it never threw any code's or lights and just assumed it was the rear air shocks, which it was not. It ended up being the wiring harness at the airpump that had vibrated the wiring loose and it was the harness causing these issues not the shocks. So after some time and complaining, I got the new air shocks at no cost, and was given the old ones to do what I pleased with. I have no use for these and they are currently in the box's from the new shocks. These are OEM Mercedes shocks. I know they sell new for about $425-500 a piece. Im not looking for anything near that. All im looking for is anything close to a reasonable offer for the shocks. I will consider all offers. The only thing I ask is that after a price is agreed on that you cover any shipping cost's that may apply. I can take picture's of them next time I am home.
