2 piece MB front brake rotors FS W204
I removed my factory 2 piece rotors off my 2012 C63 development package at approx 10,000 miles. The rotors are in excellent condition with very little wear. I will also include the factory pads and sensor that was removed at the same time. The pads are about half worn. I removed the rotors as I used a larger diameter system for track events and never put them back on the car. I can send you a lot of pictures of them directly if you send me an email or phone number. I will also accept returns after you receive the rotors and inspect them and for any reason you are not happy.
$750 for the pair including used pads, sensor, and shipping.

Are these actually 2 pc rotors?!?! From the pictures, it appears to be 1 piece, however it has some weight saving cores that were used to create the hub. The pictures make it appear to be one cast rotor tho. I see no floating pieces to this "assembly".
What am I missing?

They are factory 2pc Mercedes Rotors. It is not possible for a rotor to "float". Some Rotors are bolted together so the rings can be replaced. MB factory 2 piece are aluminum hats and the rings are attached with material that dampens vibration. There is no such thing as 1.5 piece ect.
These are around $850 each at he dealer.

Haha, well, it is possible for a rotor to "float", and its actually purely because its bolted together. If you get a chance, check out how those rotors are bolted to the hub some time. There is actually some wiggle room that makes it possible for the rotors to grow and shrink throughout their temperature range. This reduces the overall stress on the components. Also, it allows you to run the aluminum hat as you mentioned. This has 2 main functions. It reduces the unsprung weight of the rotor. And it also is able to dissipate heat quicker than the iron version. This is nice as less heat is typically absorbed by the hub/bearings, possibly extending the life.
I think cm60k was semi-joking when he said "1.5" pc rotors, or at least I got a good chuckle out of it. I dont believe these would be true 2 pc rotors, but as you can see, the hub is not solidly connected to the rotor. This means they probably used a core when casting the rotor to take out some of that unsprung weight. Also, since it is not connected 100% around the hub, this would also help let the rotor expand. I dont know how effective it is vs a true 2 pc rotor. But I have to imagine that it is better than typical rotors that are connected all the way around.
Sorry, Im not trying to distract from the sale. If anything, its a least a free bump for you . They look like they are in good condition. I see no stress cracking near the drilled holes. Again, they should be lighter and better than typical 1 pc rotors, so this seems like a pretty good deal.

No bro., i wasn't joke..,
they called them "1.5" Rotors, they're NOT 2-piece Rotors,,

1.5 is a forum term.
I'd like to see a link to these "floating" Mercedes 2pc Rotors for the C series cars.
These are THE FACTORY $1700 a pair 2 pc Rotors. They are made in 2 pieces. The 1 piece Rotors are made from 1 piece of material. These are steel and aluminum (2 piece). The fact they can not be taken apart has nothing to do with that fact. The are FACTORY MERCEDES BENZ PARTS.

Eric,
They're a composite Rotors, floating between the cast iron & alloy, with SS elements,
for "max heat resistance/less weight/less fade/more age",,
2-piece Rotors sharing the same theory with "1.5" Rotors, but with 2 separate cast(Ring) & alloy (Hat)..

I learned something new!! Even though its a forum term, I hadn't heard of these "1.5" pc designs. No wonder stock "1.5" MB rotors are so expensive!!! Thats a very interesting way of manufacturing them.
Here is a link to a 2 pc aftermarket item for the C class.

MB originally offered the bolted 2pc design from Brembo and they are still available through Brembo. These are the updated design and are much better on a vibration standpoint. They where an improvement. RB has a decent product but they have their issues also.
I see a lot of "forum" experts calling them all kinds of things. Long story short they are the latest rendition MB 2pc Rotors. They are expensive as hell.
These have very few miles on them. Great deal when someone needs some rotors.
