Unhappy 2012 E350 Command Console Problems

Help!! I own a 2012 E350 4WD w 51,080 miles on it. Today the command console started rebooting itself. I took it to the dealership and was told the command board and knob were bad and needed to be replaced at a approximate cost of $6,300. Looking at the some of the forums this is not a uncommon problem with MB.

Has anyone else had this problem? Any information/guidance you can provide is appreciated.

This Might Help

Sorry for the issue. It seems to me that MB should cover an item as expensive as this. I love my '12 E350, but this just makes me shake in my bones. A quick check on ebay:

That might help to save some money. Good Luck.

Best Regards,

Tony

Now I see why CPO (assuming it would even cover this???) is important... Im looking at this like Yeah, I LOVE the look of the car and am ready and able to get one... sure, I COULD handle a repair like this, but theres SOOO many other things I could do with that kind of repair dough!!! Maybe this life just isn't for me and I should get a very well equipped 'family sedan' ... nah.... screw it, I worked hard to get where I am in my career, I'm rollin' the dice! Don't want to be sitting at a traffic light thinking "I could have had one of those"!
