I need some help on how to update the command system on my w211. I’ve bought a software update disc and the newest navigation disc. The software update disc isn’t working.

As far as I can remember, my 2008 W211 E350 never have any NAVIGATION software update, if you want the current map, spend $ a few hundred @ your MB dealer, pop in the NEW DVD navigation map to the drive (in the trunk), voilà....you have the current MAP, my dealer never mention any software UPDATE, but direct me to the part counter to buy the current version of the DVD navigation (I sold the car 5 or 6 years ago with the current DVD navigation). That's all I remember of 5 years ownership of the car.
