Door lock actuator replacement
I am trying to replace the rear door lock actuator on my 2002 Mercedes e320 ww210. I am unable, so far, to be able to push the upper end of the actuator onto the door lock mechanism. my only solution currently is to remove the whole mechanism and push the actuator on. The upper end of the actuator must be pushed hard to overcome the resistance of the clip. so har I have not found a solution while the whole mechanism remains in the door.

Easier to remove the mechanism from the door.
The link and attachment cover regulator replacement as well as repair of door lock actuator so read the whole thing.

Also this note from when I performed this repair: "Remove the air line at the yellow arrow (carefully!!! you dont want to break the plastic piece that holds this on...work it off carefully). (Note by bbirdwell: Rather than risk breaking this, I cut the yellow vacuum tubing and removed the lock assembly from the door before I attempted to remove this connector. I found it easier to work on that connector when it was out of the car. I then respliced the tubing with a couple of inches of rubber vacuum tubing.) "
The attachment DIY was *not* done by me. Credit goes to (IIRC) Red66gt on the other forum. If I am incorrect, please assist me in providing proper credit.
