2007 Mercedes Benz gl 320 cdi

Hi I have a 2007 Mercedes-Benz GL 320 cdi and all of a sudden the suv has stopped working .The suv will not start and there is no glow plug symbol when the key is inserted to have the glow plugs heat it up .I have put in a new battery but no change ? What is broken?

On a 2007 GL320 CDI, if the glow plug light does not come on with the key and the vehicle won’t start, that usually points to an authorization/communication or power supply issue, not the battery itself. Since you already replaced the battery with no change, the next step is to scan the vehicle so you can see which modules are not communicating and what faults are stored.
I agree with the other suggestion you received. A full-system scan is the fastest way to narrow this down and avoid replacing parts blindly. Like this video:
