Noise from CLS 550

I drive an E55 and my wife drives a CLS 550. I never drive her car but I took it out yesterday and it has this thumping front end noise you can feel in the floor panel as you drive. It feels like tire wear but they are fine(only 20,000 miles at slow speed city driving) and it is worst at around 25 MPH. Any ideas or heard of this one? Thanks.

VLB, did you ever find out the cause of noise? I have same humming noise when going 20-30mph it's awful. I want to think it's the tires, but they have even wear. Car noise falls off once over 45+ mph.
