Faulty key fob and EIS/EZS repaired brilliantly
Hi Guys,
Well I have a bit of a story to tell (sorry for the long post). I have had my mercedes C220 Estate Avante Guarde for a while now, she is a 52 plate, but she has been extremely reliable over the years, obviously with a little glitch here and there. Anyway 3 weeks ago, disaster struck I got into my car turned the key and it would not turn. Anyway made a few enquiries, had a diagnostic and was told the key need reprogramming. got someone out to reprogramme it, which was expensive and he was quiet rude, and to make matters worse the problem was not fixed, which I found out was the key box the EIS/EZS switch. From that point onwards it was one cowboy after another either saying it could not be done only by the dealer for over £1000 or possibly by them, but with no guarantee, I would need to tow my car across the country as they were 100's of miles away and again were charging prices close to the dealer. I had just given up and decided to get rid of my car. Anyway started to look for mercedes switch specialist as one last hope and found this guy in called the London Coder in Barking. Called him up the first thing that struck me was how polite he was and already seemed to know what was going on without looking at the car. He was very honest about what he could do for me and although I made it clear that at that time money was an issue for me, as I had spent so much already on the cowboys he was still happy to come down and have a look. He came to my house did over an hours worth of diagnostics, keeping me informed at every stage. We then agreed that he would take away my key and ingnition switch. He came back a day later and bingo my car was up and running again. In addition to this he programmed another key which he threw into the deal for more or less nothing, gave me a key cover, pumped up my tires, sorted out my weak battery, I could go on for ever about the service I received from the London Coder. Lets just say he is excellent.
