Considering Moving to Texas

Mates,

I am considering moving to Texas. California is getting to expensive to own a home. What areas should I consider moving to?

What do you do for a living? What are your interests outside of work? Do you have family or friends in Texas now?

I have a couple of friends in Austin outside of car enthusiasts. I am a paralegal. I can work remotely. Income is not disturbed. Interests include hiking, socializing outside of COVID, photography, car cruises, car meets, friendly gatherings.

How do you feel about Austin? Texas, particularly Austin, is warm during the summer, you probably are aware of that.

Climate is similar to California. Austin was my first choice actually.
